What is an N95 mask?

I think there are many people who don't know much about the N95 mask, which is the main character of the project, so I would like to briefly introduce it here.
The official name of N95 is Particulate Respirator Type N95.
In Japanese translation, it is called a respirator/respirator.
The "N" in N95 stands for not resistant to oil, meaning it has the ability to capture more than 95% of 0.3μm (micrometer) particles.
* 1μm=0.001mm. The thickness of hair is approximately 50 to 100 µm. Pollen diameter is 30-40μm > PM2.5 is less than 2.5μm. The N95 test method is different from the test method for general (daily use) masks because it is measured using strict standards.
The most common shapes are cup-shaped, beak-shaped, and three-sided three-dimensional (the shape often seen on Korean-made KF94). In order to improve adhesion, it is a type that is fixed to the head with two elastic cords (head strap).
Be careful here!
Ear-hook type masks do not meet N95 standards because of their poor adhesion. Please note that many people mistakenly think that it is an N95 due to the similar naming.
In addition to N95, there are equivalent masks that are based on the standards set by each country.
●DS2 (Japanese Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare national certification standard dust mask)
● FFP2 (EN standard established by Europe)
The performance below is similar to the N95 used in medical settings, but please think of it as a surgical mask with good filter performance, rather than an equivalent product.
●KF94 (Korean standard dust mask)
Uses a filter that can capture 94% of test particles of 0.4㎛ or more.
●KN95 (Chinese standard dust mask)
Uses a filter that can capture 95% of test particles of 0.3㎛ or more.
N95 is a high-performance mask that can prevent virus-containing droplets from entering. It also minimizes the possibility of infection during daily work at medical facilities, etc.
